Wealdstone secured a comprehensive 4-0 victory over Gateshead in the National League on Saturday. The result lifts the Stones to 17th place with 11 points from their opening ten games, while condemning the visitors to a tenth consecutive defeat at the bottom of the table.

Ollie Olomola opened the scoring after 22 minutes, finishing from a pass by Luke Norris. Norris then doubled the lead from the penalty spot just after the half-hour mark. Jayden Wells-Morrison added a third shortly after the restart, assisted by Dan Chesters, before substitute Jayden Cook completed the rout with six minutes remaining.

Gateshead's first team coach Ben Clark, who handled post-match duties, acknowledged his side's low confidence. "Yeah confidence is low at the moment but uh the only way you get get it back is by getting a win," Clark said. He had earlier noted that his team started the game well and created a couple of chances.

The win marks a positive response after recent league defeats to Tamworth and FC Halifax Town. The current league standings show Wealdstone now sit six points clear of the relegation zone.
